Local residents establish nonprofit to support the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center

As construction of Fuquay-Varina’s first Arts Center nears an end, there is one group in town that is eager to walk through its open doors.

For months, an inaugural board of directors has worked diligently to establish a nonprofit whose mission is to support the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center. The group plans to do this through promoting attendance at events, encouraging participation, and providing financial support for activities of the Arts Center.

The nonprofit, Fuquay-Varina Arts Center Friends, is now ready to enlist members of the organization, offering a variety of membership levels. The inaugural team, appointed by Mayor John Byrne and led by board chairman, Bob Barker, includes board members: Pat Barker, Don Curry, Elizabeth Edwards, Jennifer Holt, Amy Rogers, Robin Wellings Loftus, and Director of the Arts Center Maureen Daly.

All are welcome to join the group in their effort to support the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center through various membership, sponsorship, and opportunities for participation. Learn more about the Arts Center Friends at artscenterfriendsfv.org.
